Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 A while ago, my iPod Classic stopped charging. I chopped it up and messed around with it, only screwing it up even more by crushing a plastic(I assume) piece that was used to hold the cable end that connected the battery to the logic board. Sent it to some random dude my dad knew, he just soldered 3 wires from the cable to the coverless pins. Opened it up today with too much force and the wires broke off. Can't charge it again. So I figured instead of sending it to some random retard to fix it for me with some half-assed soldering, I'd just try and buy that damn plastic part again and connect the battery normally. Here's the part I need from the logic board. It's the upper leftmost corner of the board. What the fuck is it called? http://s2.guide-images.ifixit.com/igi/4EQMvMPQBVqOoQ4i.large
Wizard Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Best bet would be to pick up a dead ipod classic model to replace it.
Agozer Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 What was it exactly that you asked me in Yahoo regarding an iPod using some weird language (I'm guessing romanian)?
Inky Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 other then salvaging from another broken iPod, I don't think you could get your hands on that little part. I'd just have the thing soldered up again.
Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 Completely forgot, Ago. I know I asked you something but I don't think I can remember when or what. Anyway, yeah, I'm kinda pissed that part is so damn obscure, wish there were hardware stores that had that.
