I search the way to add video preview in my dashboard unleash x

First, you must get the videos you want (in .wmv format) Here is a place to get them:

 

Then, Transfer them and put them in a folder on your xbox.

Go to your xbox games list on your dashboard and press start. go to "edit item".

Click on "preview and direct it to where your have the video for that game.

Then save.

 

Note: If the option is not there, go to "Settings" then "system" and then scroll until you find "context menu"

enable: "Allow Menu Edit" (then save)

 

And then, simply repeat for all your games with videos (you have for them.)

 

Note: some unleashx "skins" don't always display videos at best.

for my part, i have begin my arcade unleash x video skin with UX ARCHITECT

difficult for beginner but fast if you make some test

 

i have make a video

short, a little bad quality but i think you can easily show what i prepare

Make the video's yourself. It's a good learning process.

Keep at it. You'll find the skinning of UnleashX to be very simple and easy to do. It's very nice and easy to make a small change to a skin and reload it without rebooting. If you have Windows with Windows Movie Maker and some videos from emumovies you can easily make decent preview videos. You just need to make sure to convert the final video to WMV8 format or XMV for use with UnleashX.

 

I created a batch file to spool through a directory of files and create the <Item> entries for UnleashX if you want to automate the adding of content.. let me know if you are interested.
