i have some questions about rapidshare

1 what is it?

2 can U.S.use the pay version ?

3 what is a rapidshare downloader?

Take a look at my 'Crapidshare' thread in the Computer Speak forum. It's a shitty site where fools upload stuff for people to download, but coz it's so shitty, half the time you can't download anything unless you pay for membership. The downloader is probably some crap download manager that you don't need or want. Stay well away unless you absolutely have no choice. And unless you plan on downloading everything that was ever uploaded there, don't even think about wasting your money on it.

While I'm not as anti-RapidShare as TheIceMan, RapidShare has loads of issues. The bottom line is that personally, I would never pay any kind of membership fee for "better" service that these sites offer.

 

Now, short answers to your questions.

 

1) A file-hosting site based in Germany. One of the largest.

2) I don't see any reason why U.S. citizens couldn't get a Premium account, for example. RapidShare accepts PayPal, after all.

3) A download manager you won't need.

for easy downloading from rapidshare use jdownloader, sure you may still run into the no free slots available' for your country problem at times but just leave jdownloader to it & it'll work its way through as many links as you throw into it
