why do some games not launc h and go to dash?

 

example, GTA on my 1.1 xbox resets to dash, yet on my 1.6 it loads... region settings are set to auto on both

try turning off flicker filter on xbmc and see if that helps.

also happens on evo-x... tried it but no joy, cant finder a flicker filter on evo-x

I had the same problem after I installed my new HDD. I had to go into the evox.ini and turn off the IGR or In Game Reset. Just ctrl f IGR and set them to off in each instance. All my games load just fine now.

been a long time since i used Evox but the TSR option seems to play a role at times in rebooting certain games.

I think Normal or OFF are best. Can't even remeber the options it gives fully.

are you using the same version of xbmc to launch the games on both xboxes? xbmc is cool because it auto selects regions for both NTSC and PAL games. If you are using any other dash this feature may not be supported
