Help with preparing an E-book?

Im knocking up a book an E-book, and was wondering if any of you guys know what i should be using to do this?

I got word 2007. Adobe is obviously something I should be looking into, anyone had any experience with this?

if you want it to be in PDF format either pirate adobe or use cutepdf.

OCR'ing after scanning would be a nice gesture if you plan on sharing it.

 

I hate non-OCR'd ebooks.

I dont know what OCR is, and I still dont know how to use Adobe Pdf am I dumb or something or is all hidden tutorials?

you need the paid version of Adobe acrobat to make a PDF.

cutepdf is free.
