hangover Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I've been using MKV with XBMC (any build) for a long time and I never had any issue. The only limit is loading large videos like 720p but it happens with any format and it is a known fact. 720P is fine as long as the files are encoded correctly with a specific bitrate, mkv's are best for size/quality . There are still nightly builds of xbmc available at xbmc4xbox.org and the forum there is very active with a steadily growing number of members.
psyko_chewbacca Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I would really like to get ahold of this XBMC build you are talking about ( . ) ( . ). Could we continue this conversation on hotmail? psyko_chewbacca ---@--- hotmail.com Thanks
BritneysPAIRS Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 its only in BETA and alot diff than XBMC at present...think of it as more of an Ipad interface than full windows interface....and thats the real difference
psyko_chewbacca Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Well I was looking for that large USB drive support. I have a Xbox in a car and it would be nice to be able to plug external HDDs to transfert music to it! I don't really care about the interface as long as the web server works and it plays music.
jrvmc Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 How is Beta development on your XBMC build? This build sounds nice for a beta release, i can help with testing or arranging a beta team.
ace9094 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 WOW... XBMC build sounds cool.... anywho if anyone can PM a link to the best build of xbmc, Im looking to finally finish my arcade machine.... (its past the 12 month stage) I really wanna finish it PS EPIC is running sweet on the machine
psyko_chewbacca Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hi, I was wondering if there was someone who could still supply a version of XBMC compiled with the modified libraries. Some of us are still really looking for large USB drive support in XBMC for Xbox. I've been searching for either the libraries or a compiled version but I have not found anything... If someone has either of these files please take a few minutes to upload them somewhere Thank you!
Nextel Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Hey BP, i'm interested in what exactly this is. Is this a new build of XBMC all together or just a modified skin?
letmealone Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Would be sweet also adding the feature of reading NTFS formatted usb disks.
