Jailbreaking and unlocking Iphone 3g

Anybody here have any experience with this? I'm going to attempt to do this tomorrow but can't find any links I would consider "trustworthy". If anybody can post some links/tuts it would be greatly appreciated .

I have only done 4.0 through Jailbreakme and when i use to own a 3G, i once used red Sn0w.

 

I have no clue how to jailbreak 4.1

I dont think 4.1 has a jailbreak that works right yet but redsno is the way to go

I have 4.1 on my touch 2g and I used snowbreeze. but since then limera1n has come out.

jailbreakme.com doesn't work with 4.1

 

just make sure you back up first. and take your time.

once you are jailbroken the number one app to get is installous.

I use http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/ for most of my resources or http://iclarified.com/finder/index.php both have nice tutorials. I have used GreenPois0n and it works good on 4.1 but make sure you don't upgrade the baseband or you will not be able to unlock at this time. There is lots of advise on how to do this on both those sites.

Unrelated but iOS 4.1 has a security bug where if you go to an iphone's security lock screen, go to the emergency call mode, dial any number and then immediately hit the sleep button and you can access that phone's entire call history, voice mails and address book.

Hi i got my iphone 3g Unlocked from AT&T network at --SPAM-- here they helped me unlock my iphone using remote unlocking method with out jail breaking it .I hope it will be also helpful to you to unlock your iphone 3g from network lock .
