failed to start because d3dx9_42.dll was not found

I just open nulldc and gave me this error..

 

The operation has timed-out.

System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed-out.

at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetR esponse()

at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadF ile(String address, String fileName)

at com.turbine.launcher.UserContr ols.PrereqInstallControl.GetRe qSoftwareFileList()

 

Then after a few minutes, the log-in screen comes up and i log in and this error comes up.

 

nulldc.exe - Unable to locate component

This application has failed to start because d3dx9_42.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

 

I have closed everything on my computer, turned the firewall off, restarted internet connection, restarted computer, and it still has not fixed it. What should I do? Please help!

You need to update your DirectX 9 files - http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35
