darknior Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Thanks for these news Marquees and add them to the proper place
filevans Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 thanks a lot for the updates i just wondered please could you add universal screen settings for vertical games too, unfortunately the universal screen size settings only work for horizontal games, and all the vertical games are out of position and every game then has to be set individually thanks a lot for your time
destronger Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 final fight hack ain't showin' up on 1.5. yes i refreshed the list... yes i have the latest set.
+ T + Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 The Final Fight hack is listed under it's correct MAME name which is 'Street Smart / Final Fight (Japan, hack)'.
Cospefogo Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Hey +T+! I have been playing many times last weeks and, at the moment,* the only thing * I really miss in FBL is a universal controller setting. It could be great to be able to set a key config right in the general settingspanel and force all games (that does not have yet their own config)to use it as default. Of course we can adjust the keys, game by game upon "first play"...Well... This is the only thing I miss. Regards,C.

I'm OK with you, if it is possible, a default key config where a good option to add
+ T + Posted September 26, 2011 Author Posted September 26, 2011 The problem with that is the way that FBL assigns controls. It's done dynamically so each game has specific control labels; these are defined in the driver. FBL doesn't have a default control configuration (with the exception of 'Coin' and 'Start' which are always the same) it just reads the available controls for the specific game and assigns the buttons in sequence starting with Button A. So, with things as they are, there's no way to set (or define) one particular control layout that will work for all games. The entire button mapping system would need to be changed.

Thanks for the clarification, +T+!+C+.

Regards,C. maybe this could be done as an Xtras project? i figure, configs for people who use Saturn Pads, Arcade Sticks, Xbox controllers, and the SF Anniversary controllers could all be supported, and via batch could be swapped.
