Jitway Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 I remember the days of my childhood when stations across from each other use to have price wars and try to lower a penny or 2 to get the business. Lowest for me was 29 cents. A bottle of soda was 25 cents and you could get a full size candy bar for 10 cents. 1

Robert Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 When I was very young I remember about 40-something cents a gallon. But then we went metric.About 30 years ago it was 40-something cents a litre, and I wondered if it would ever get to 60 cents.Well, at the moment it is about $1.50 a litre and with this accursed carbon tax coming along, will continue to rise.
Gryph Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Like $0.97 a gallon. I was still in elementary school.

VT-Vincent Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 The lowest I remember is $1.29/gal. At that price, I could have filled my car up for about $13 instead of $40 1
