Robert
I don't have any machine to upgrade from, also the lack of security worries me, where half the OS is stored on cloud servers. Also they know all your passwords and share them around with whoever they see fit. I *might* get it for a machine that isn't on the net, if it's able to be done. Just download the tool from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

And there are a lot of privacy controls for Windows 10, so you can turn most, if not all of that cloud stuff off.
Robert
I'll wait till SP1 comes out, to let the more serious bugs get fixed. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/06/30/windows_10_wi_fi_sense/http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/08/03/windows_10_privacy_defaults/http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/07/31/rising_and_ongoing_cost_of_windows/http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=6044048 http://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-responds-nsa-controversy-were-not-spying-you(this last one followed the revelation that when microsoft found a bug, they informed the NSA so they in turn could spy on you for a while before microsoft released a windows update patch).
