I recently downloaded a homebrew game(Garbage Pail Kids)and I believe it is mapper 4. The game loads up fine on Nestopia but after you select the difficulty it goes black. Any fix?

yoou can try retroarch,which has a port of nestopia also.

Yeah, same result, unfortunately. Also tried it with FCEUltraX and it boots the game but with glitchy graphics.

try this version of retroarch,it has both the fceumm core and pocketnes core.

Tried all the Retroarch cores as well. Nothing seems to work. Either it blacks out or loads up with glitchy graphics. No big deal. I did get it working on the Wii. Thanks for the help!
