CPS1 Game Setting Menu

How can I access to the game setting menu for cps1 game? I mean the one which can set the cpu difficulty, etc.

Test mode (u key by default), which I tend to call "service mode" but apparently "service mode" is for when you start a game without inserting a coin, anyway, u key !

Just found the setting menu (dip switch) by pressing U button at the beginning, but I don't know how to make changes on this page?

it's pretty self explanatory, see at the bottom of the page, up or down to navigate the menu, button 1 to select entries, what you want is system configuration, then make your changes, then exit (it tells to use 1p start to return to previous menu) then exit, it will save the settings to the eeprom automatically.

You just need to read. Some games use a test mod like this instead of dipswitches.

Of course here it's for a qsound cps1 game and these games don't have dipswitches, just a test mode. For the non qsound games, they have dipswitches !

I try the cps1 street fighter 2. The menu is different without  clear explanation. I press all button to try, but nothing is changed in the dip switch (which can change game level and coin setting, etc)

For sf2 it's simply dipswitches, nothing to see in the test mode for that.

To get into the game settings for a CPS1 game, you just need to press the "u" key to enter the test mode. Once you’re in, it’s pretty straightforward—use the arrow keys to move through the menu and the first button to select options. That’s where you can change the difficulty and other settings. After you’re done, just exit, and it should save everything.

Honestly, after messing around with game settings, I like to take a break with something simple, like a game of solitaire. It’s a nice way to relax and clear my head before jumping back into the action.

Strange to post a link to something unrelated, plus it doesn't even work with firefox here... Just in case, apparently the original site known by search engines is cardgames.io and not freecardgames.io as in this link (and it works perfectly with firefox), so there might be something bad with this link, use at your own risk then, although I fail to see if it really tries to do something bad...
