psychic force problem

ok, i downloaded the psychic rom from the following website -

well, the problem is that once the rom has finished loading, it simply shows a countdown timer saying "the psychic force will start within __ seconds". once it's finished, it simply shows the debug menu (you know, the one that shows you the display test, sound test etc...). When you exit the screen, it simply shows 'reset'.

 

Is this a rom problem or is it the emulator. help would be appreciated
