lacien Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 English accent while speaking in English. Wish I could speak in US accent. LOL, which one? Me I got this wierd mix of midwestern and southern since I moved from Iowa to Mississippi.I would either wish for my little bit of southern to go away or scottish. Just like the American movie does. Ah yes. Those usually sound like the more mild midwestern accent unless they want the character to be obviously from a specific part of the country. i for the most part sound like the movie-american accent but with exagerated o's and everynow and then i'll let a "y'all" slip out *cringe*

What part of Mississippi are you from? North, south? I'm a little way out of New Orleans so I'm not too far from you, unless you live above McComb, then you're in hick territory.
lacien Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Oh, no doubt I'm in hick country. The guy next door just brought home some roosters for fighting LOL. But yeah, I'm in the southern part about um..45minutes to an hour drive from Biloxi. I drove right by New Orleans on my way back from Dallas when I came back from Quakcon.
Goenitz Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 during my time in thailand, i picked up a mild aussie accent. there's a whole tourist city out there just full of them, so it's not that bizarre.
Shibathedog Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 i have perfected my "Japanese guy trying to speak english accent" woohoo
