Metal Slug X was a great update for Metal Slug 2. Although it was the same game as 2, it still kicked major ass with the occasional palette changes and all that.

I remember getting X and 2 the same day and I thought I was tricked. I didn't know they were the same game.

I actually played Metal Slug 1 in a dedicated cabinet at a local drug store, and I was hooked after that. You can imagine the adrenaline rush when I found the actual rom about a year later.

The local skating rink still has Metal Slug 1 so I still play it when I'm there. But never more than a dollar's worth, I mean I have the rom.
