What exactly is a boot disk, do all games boot with the same boot disk,

its a seperate disk right? where do i get one from?

A boot disc is a seperate disc which allows you to boot import, homebrew or backup games on your Dreamcast, most backup games now are selfboot but there are some which are not.

 

You can get bootdiscs from loads of places, a great place to start is the homebrew section of dcemulation.com,

You can also use Action replay, game shark to boot imports.

DC-IE works the best for me when booting imports, burned, AND official, its really cool

 

also, out of the 300+ games i have about 40 of them arent selfboot, and thats because they are old, its very rare to have a nonselfboot game now
