Agozer
whats better, the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro or the ATI Radeon 9600 XT???9800 Pro. but i saw in ATI's site that the ATI Radeon 9800XT and the ATI Radeon 9600XT will have the same FPS in games except that the 9600XT will have less "Special Effects" then the 9800XT will have.. It's your choice isn't it? I'm just throwing my 2 cents in.
Gryph
Well the 9800 Pro is without a doubt better. But the 9600XT is the ultimate bargain with awesome capabilities and an awesome low price. Geez I sound like a Walmart commercial...
Wizard
9800 Pro. Do you want to pay for 5% more power, where each percent is around 100 dollars? I think not.
Lightsier
9600XT is worth the price. 9800XT is not. You get like 5 extra fps over the 9800 Pro. Not worth it. Neither is the 256MB pro version. 256 is a gimmic now. By the time games really need it, better video cards will be out (the R420 perhaps). So, if you feel like blowing an extra $40 and don't care, get the 256MB versions. Also, 9800Pro>5950ultra in AA/AF Edited February 7, 2004 by Lightsier
