need help building a joystick

i want to make myself a new joystick for using it with fiighting games i was thinking of making it consisting of two sticks with 6 button plus one for coins and another for start each. Any suggestions. Where can i find info about this? i know there are three ways of making it a chaled keyboard, a gameoad chipset and another one i don´t remember which is the best option.

me my self i'm making a keybo hack but still can't deside

weather it will be 2 of 4 player

can't remember how many controls and buttens you can have i don't think you need more than 2 buttens for player 2-3 but up to 6 for 1-2

all in all you would use 32 keys +coines for each one and the ones for running M.A.M.E. is that too many?
