nWoStyle
hi, i'm new to this board, and i was wondering why my roms don't work on kawaks. I use the WinKawaks 1.48b DEV version, it can play kof2003 bootleg without a problem, but it simply refuses to play samurai showdown 5 (samsho5.zip), Snk vs Capcom (svc.zip), and Metal Slug 5 (mslug5.zip). It loads up the checking sequence when i select it from the ALL GAMES list, it goes through the entire checking sequence then initializes the gfx. but just stops and says i need a (in the case of samsho5) 270-p2.bin file, in the other ones it says i need a ###-p2.bin file. I noticed that the copy of kof2003 i had, didn't have a p2.bin file and it worked fine, why don't the others work?
nWoStyle
so, no one knows? i did some research and it has something to do with hex editting something.... i'm not sure, it would help if someone suggested something.
saiyanfire
just get a different hacked kawaks. im too lazy to get a link, but just look around on this neo geo board and youll find it. the reason those roms dont work may be because that emu was made specifically for kof 2003. nWoStyle
yea, i fixed it. got a loader and changed the compatibility to win98. and the kof2003 one was made ESPECIALLY for kof2003.
nWoStyle
MORE HELP with kawaks. i keep losing constantly in every snk game i've played. so i was wondering. wouldn't it be easier to have shortcut keys in kawaks? i have poor co-ordination, so pressing two buttons simutainuously is too much stain for me, is there a chance that you can put in shortcut keys in kawaks?
