DoubleDragon Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 According to Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/news/industry.html, Soul Calibur is to hit the silver screen. I personally think it's gonna suck so much ass for the fact that movies based on games generally blow. Does Street Figther ring a bell? Anyways, I was wondering what everyone else's take is on this.
Agozer Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 (edited) I wan't to see the movie first before I jump into the sucks/doesn't suck drill...But yeah, it might suck big donkey balls. Edited March 4, 2004 by Agozer
Wizard Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Kinda like old news to me. I already knew someone got the rights to it.
ForceX Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 This is old news....its be known for the past 1 and half or something like that
Gryph Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 This sounds like a terrible idea. What self respecting actor would sign up for this... video games should only become anime, never live action movies.
BoomBa_GoosE Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 yes street fighter did suck big donkey balls. but with the way things are goin in hollywood, ull never know. who knows, it could be a very nice flick. =)
The TeamPlayer Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Seung Mina is all I need for this movie to be a hit for me
Cominus Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Half of the games out there have already sold thier licenses, like GTA, Max Payne, and Metriod"supermetriod"
DreamCastLover Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 They are doing a Prince of Persia, sands of time movie too. When will the madness end!!?
Gryph Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Half of the games out there have already sold thier licenses, like GTA, Max Payne, and Metriod"supermetriod"Well those three games would actually make a decent movie (not good. decent) GTA would be a kind of crime epic movie. Max Payne is basically a movie just put into comic book and video game form. And hopefully it will be all noir-ish like the game. And Metroid can be like any sci-fi movie but the hero (heroine) is a hot blond space chick. I don't think Soul Caliber would transfer well into a live action movie...I mean, it's a fighting game.
