PLasticSlug Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 I have a dell 8200 series computer with everthing preatty much stock, i have a 4200 series nvidia G/card, and a burner that burns at 24x. what im wondering how do i tell what my memory buffer (whatever) is to know if i can burn over 4x. is there a screen where i can tell what my memory buffer is???thanks. BobRedthorp Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 (edited) As I said before, just try burning full speed and see if the game works or you dont come up with errors, judging by your PC specs you should be okay. You should be ok to burn at top speed, my burner is not that much faster than yours and I burn at top speed every time with no problems! Shibathedog Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 if you use alchohol 120% it turns all your ram into a memory buffer which makes it pretty safe, but limits you to 16X im pretty sure your safe to burn at top speed, Buffer-Underrun protection technology came out 2 or 3 years ago, so if your computer was pretty much top of the line when you bought it, and 2 or 3 years old or younger, then it probably has it Or you get download AIDA32 and that will tell you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
