As stated by the header, Matthew Kendora, one of the key developers of Snes9x has decided to leave the SNES emulation scene. He also makes "The Big Rant" about the current state of the whole scene.

He's still trimming the few GFX packs and releasing then with CaithSith2, but then it's goodbye.

I'd suggest you read the whole two pages before making comments. It's a long read, but well worth it.

how come he just didn't write a book?

What's left for SNES emulation anyway?

Basically, better Super FX and DSP (1-4) chip emulation. DSP-4 is a no-go at the moment, thanks to some weird protection/encryption in the chip...So no Top Gear 3000 yet. :D

Other bugs in other emulated special chips still exist...SA-1 (Star Ocean, Kirby's Dreamland 3) Just because you can't see ythose doesn't mean they aren't there.

Oh yes...and the infamous "Too speedy battles in Star Ocean"...but this is ZSNES' problem.
