Riot.EXE Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 El-P - Eminem is NOT the only good white rapper...eminem is a good rapper?!?!?!? ...good enough to get by I guess...I don't have much of a problem...but I like El-P a lot more...listen to some of his stuff...
Gouken Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Wow, Im surprised at most of your choices. Dave Matthews Band - I love them so. Will always be my favorite band of all time.Alanis Morissette - Nothing to say, just love her work.Sneaker Pimps - Oh yes, this is driving music!Evanescence - Her voice is so haunting...Poe - This is the end result of several bad relationships.... New favorites! Karin Park - Wow, just...wow!Linkin Park - No relation. My new "flock you" to rappers music. I love all genre's of music. Hell I can even listen to some good ol' Tim McGraw, but one thing I cannot stand is rap.
Wizard Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 Linkin Park is a poor man's RATM. They try to rap and play good alertnative music and they use a big box, as oppose to Rage. "All sounds are made with drums, bass, guitar and vocals." Who can't forget their cover of Cypress Hill's How I Could Just Kill A Man, ITS JUST A GUITAR MAN! RATM brought out the Rap-Rock/Metal Fusion in 1990 yo. If you've seen my playlist, I like a varity of music, I just listed the ones that I have sticken too and have some sort of creative connection with.
Feyd Rautha Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 I don't have any reasons why these bands have stuck to or influenced me other than changing the way I think about things. Reading too deeply into everything just creates problems. Messages are dumb and I am rad. Inky Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 The distillers are kool. I seen them in concert with social distortion when they first came out. that was a cool show. tim armstrong was in the crowd. now I dunno, she left tim for that pop rock dude in queens of the stone age.
