StriderSkorpion Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 I remember when Lik-Sang offered those. Intersting things those Treamcasts. Does anybody know if they support audio/data rips?
Cominus Posted April 18, 2004 Author Posted April 18, 2004 I remember when Lik-Sang offered those. Intersting things those Treamcasts. Does anybody know if they support audio/data rips? They must since they're multi regional. They play domestic and imports, and mp3 cds and other stuff, it says so on the web site.
ken_cinder Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 I'd love to.........just don't have the retarded amount of money they cost. 169.00 GBP = $303.81 USD = $408.66 CAD = I don't fuxing think so! Oh...and add the cost of shipping too!
Shibathedog Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 303 dollars...pff...i could buy a new Xbox, a new HDD for it, AND a mod chip for that much....And as much as I hate to say it, the Xbox can play all my videos and stuff better than the Dreamcast (for now anyway..keep at it developers!!!)
StriderSkorpion Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 It costs that much mainly because they're essentially custom made. They look cool and everything, but I'm personally not going to spend that kinda money on a portable DC. Mine will work just fine. If I ever want to play imports, I can just use my Gameshark CDX or Utopia Boot CD. BTW Cominus, just because it's multiregional doesn't mean it can play audio/data rips. I think it probably can, unless its BIOS (or whatever prevents audio/data MIL CDs from booting) is based on the newer DCs.
Shibathedog Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 well their probably not THAT stupid, they probably used an older one
StriderSkorpion Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 I don't know if they really gave a flying frag. All I know is they pretty much wanted to make the DC equivalent of the PS1 w/ TFT monitor (I think that's what it is). Either way, you can still play backups as long as they're in data/data format.
Shibathedog Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 yeah, but the majority of them are in Audio/Data format
