Do You Mean like Burning A DVD-R On A DVD+R/W Drive? If That Is The Case, I Don't Think It's Possible Unless You Get The Burner For DVD-R, Cuz I've Heard--I Think Here--That The Two Different DVD's Are Formated Differntly

Yes, both DVD's are formatted diffrently from each other. The only way to do so is to get a seperate burner or find the DVD-R version of your drive and change it to those bios, but you won't be able to use +r anymore tho :/

You can change the booktype of DVD+R discs to be recognized as -R discs. Not all burners support this feature however.

Some multiformat discs support this feature. Very few +R only writers support this.

Example

I have a lite-on 851s (8x +R, 6X -R) and it works wonders. my xbox samsung drive which doesnt usually read +r discs, they all work flawlessly.
