Weirdy
ey James or whoever, if you're reading this can you please post the driver init for the encrypted matrimelee and the encrypted samsho5 ..it's cause I was updating to mame 0.82 and I accidently deleted the neogeo driver source with all the latest drivers in it, so...those are the only two driver inits I need [chants]please don't let there be someone posts in this thread asking for the roms, please don't let there be someone posts in this thread asking for the roms[/chants]
StriderSkorpion
I would trust the "encrypted" sets since there are multiple sources that say which is the right CRC and not. I do have the C roms for the Kawaks dev version. Don't know if they're encrypted or not (could explain the CRC differences between "official" and bootleg dump). Weirdy
well..mine always work, mine has the encrypted c roms and james even taught me how to encrypt them and what encryption to use... but I just forgot where it was encrypted at (1c, 1e, idk, I forgot)...but it was with kof2000 encryption either way
StriderSkorpion
Hmm, I always thought its XOR value was 6A, could be 1A. Of course we could be talking different things... Anyways, the encryption/decryption will work, but that doesn't mean they're the correct roms. I personally would rather have the decrypted set since it'd be smaller, unless I'm mistaken. That way, if ends up being wrong, you haven't just wasted your time (not much time wasted probably, but wasted time none the less ). Oh yeah, what's with your avatar? Is it just me or does it not appear? Edited May 9, 2004 by StriderSkorpion

Is it just me or does it not appear?nothing's wrong with my avitar, it's just that when a lot of ppl in various forums see my avitar, they're basically download it so the angelfire ppl suspend my account for a while ...anyways, I was reading old posts and found that the xor value is 0f for some reason I just like encrypted sets better, idk why, I find them more trustworthy, all I need now is the encrypted m1 I didn't waste my time cause it's right, besides, you act like I can't decrypt them and you also act like I didn't see my decrypted rom set
StriderSkorpion
No, no. I didn't mean that at all. I just meant that encrypting the roms takes time (convert2 is slow on my computer). Personally, I don't know which are right. The Kawaks dev set or the one in Johnboy's dats. Doesn't really matter, though. I guess I'll try that XOR value to on the C roms I got for PI:M Kawaks set to see if I get the bootleg C roms.
Weirdy
for me encrypting only takes like 5mins w/no lag you just have to make sure you're not doing a lot during the process, I myself just listen to musik or maybe you have some spyware going, or maybe you just need a ram upgrade, cause I know for all the stuff I used to do I finally did buy some more ram and now hardly anything lags
StriderSkorpion
RAM upgrade would be the likely reason. I'm spyware/adware clean since I find them to be equivalent to viruses (check for them more since I don't have "active protection" software as I do for viruses). I sometimes tend to multi-task too. I expect too much out my computer sometimes .
