Wizard
Well, I'm having a hard time finding a good MP3 player. I have my eyes set on this and this as my choices but their just too expensive I would choose the latter but I don't have USB 2.0 :/ Other choices would be: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...d=&newdeptid=19 1.5gb for some of my mp3s :/ Now for the 256MB or less mp3 players, the ones I don't want but might end up getting because their cheaper :/ http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...d=&newdeptid=19 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...d=&newdeptid=19 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...d=&newdeptid=19 Anything else is crap :/ Help me choose! Or donate (I take paypal only).
Gryph
I'd go with an iPOD. I love those things; a friend of mine has one and I borrow it for when I have to go to a seminar and its awesome. But that's the only one I've used so its a pretty biased opinion.
AntiWinner22
Get an iRiver. MUCH better, IMO, than an iPod. I have tried both, and the P2P Wise Man picks the iRiver. It costs a hefty penny, about $400 for 40GB, but if you have it, it is WELL worth it. Anon.
Wizard
No, I've tried one of those and I did not like it, not only that, the software was rendered incompatible with my sister's system and would not play my MP3's properly. And 400 bucks US is around 600 CAD (since I live in Quebec and all, french bastard and their taxes). Not to mention their USB 2.0 only, so my computer - nope. Edit: They play OGG files, which is a plus to me. But yeah 2.0 only. Not going to work on my computer. Edited May 18, 2004 by K`dash
Wizard
If anybody cares. I'm thinking this< http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...19&WLBS=fsweb11 > because I have firewire(like 3 ports) on my computer. If anyone has any other suggestions that work on Firewire or USB 1.0? Edit and ships to Canada in 1 or 2 business days. nezumi
People who recommend the iPod probably only know of maybe two other MP3 players, Creative's Zen and the iRiver. Rio makes an awesome 20GB player, the Karma. It plays pretty much anything except for songs in AAC format (which means no iTunes compatibility. Apple is reluctant to open that spec to other companies.). check it out at rioaudio.com They've also got other, smaller players available. have a look. I dont even really listen to music anymore. I just listen to whatevers on the radio, but thats only if im in the car or doing something. I say go for the cheapest one. It may not be much but it's cheap and you can buy good headphones with the extra cash. No body really need to carry around 2000 songs with them, the batteries will run out before you hit the 200th song.

BuRRdRinkA
Why in God's name would you pay so much for an mp3 player?! The most I've spent is $150 on a 256psa because I run. Spend $400 on a mp3 keg for your car.
Wizard
I have a large collection of music, thats why, I want to put full albums on it. So I have a selection on what to play. I get sick of listening to a few songs pretty quick if i'm on a trip, be it 15 minutes or 12 hours.
Inky
well I've never had a dedicated mp3 player. but if you want cheap get a discman with mp3 playback. they are as low as 50 bucks USD and a cd holds hella mp3s. I've got 5 full albums on one cd. the only downside is burning cds. instead of on the fly replacement of music. but I find 3 or 4 cds with 4 to 6 albums on each one is more then enough to get you through any trip. oh and my batteries last about 40 hours on average. not bad IMO.
