AaronO
OK, I open up VMSBrowser: 1. I click on "Reload vms.bin" (I have the vms.bin), and nothing appears, OK. 2. I go to "Import Save" and I find a save (in this case, mvc2us.dci). 3. A message comes up, "There aren't enough free blocks for this file" while I have no files that appear in the VMSBrowser. 4. I open up another save file that contains the same content (mvc2us.vmi) and it says, "Can't open file mvc2us.vms." What should I do?
Agozer
I think you need to format the VMS from the Dreamcast BIOS.

AaronO
You're the ones who are not reading: VMSBrowser Version 1.0 by ElSemi VMSBrowser is a tool that will open Chankast VMS.BIN files that store the backup data froman emulated Dreamcast VMU. With this tool you can see the files stored inside the memory. It also can import the most usual VMS file dump formats (VMI/VMS, DCI (Nexus) and raw dumps)into an existing VMS.BIN. It also can export backup files in DCI or raw format for sharing. You can find VMS save dumps for most Dreamcast games in GameFAQS.com WARNING!! This program is in beta stage, so I'm not responsible if it breaks all yourVMS.BIN data and you have to format it again in the Dreamcast bios menu.It requires a properly formated VMS.BIN file, open bad files at your own risk. INSTALLATION: Just copy VMSBrowser.exe in the same directory than Chankast. Launch VMSBrowser USAGE:Launch VMSBrowser.exe and it will open the VMS.BIN file there. You'll see a list withall your backup files in the list to the left with its associated icons. When you click a file, you'll see the file information (size, name, description and animated icons). REMEMBER TO HIT "WRITE VMS DATA" TO COMMIT YOUR CHANGES TO THE VMS.BIN FILE OTHERWISEThat's the readme. I read it. STFU, and help me, will ya? Wizard
Start up Chankast without a game, will get into DC bios, from there to the VMU option and format the card. Very simple.
AaronO
Very simple indeed, but it didn't work. I'll figure it out eventually.
Wizard
I take it from the pervious posts that you never owned a dreamcast. Anyways, the VMU/S browser only takes dci, not the VMI/VMS yet for some reason. Oh, and click write in that browser thingy. It also needs to be in the same folder as the vms.bin.
