Hey guess what! Isobuster is able to extract stuff from it now. Should I do a RAW extract or just simple extract objects? Will this work anyway if I try to burn my own selfboot CD using this stuff inside the CDI?

test it on chankast first via virtual drive to check if it works.

Let's go through the process Hiroshi..

STEP 1

Copy all the files in the game CD onto the fastboot\data\ folder.

That means: take the original cd image you downloaded, mount it on daemon tools. open the drive from 'My Computer' and copy all the game's files to the fastboot\data\ folder.

STEP 2

Make a copy of 1ST_READ.BIN and move it to a folder outside the fastboot folder

(so that you don't mess with the original file).

Using the Free Hex Editor utility, delete blocks between 0x00000 - 0xEFFFF in 1ST_READ.BIN and save.

Make a backup of the original 1st_read.bin and place the hex edited 1ST_READ.BIN in main fastboot folder.

You have to hex edit 1ST_READ.BIN for DOA2 LE. No way around that

What you need to watch out for: the original 1ST_READ.BIN and IP.BIN are supposed to be copied from the game cd. If you don't have them on your game CD you're supposed to make your own (which is very complicated).

akito20 posted 1st_read.bin and ip.bin files and their links are:

1ST_READ.BIN

IP.BIN

I guess you know the rest from here....

STEP 3

Run 'BINHACK.EXE'. Type:

1ST_READ.BIN for the name of binary

IP.BIN for the name of bootsector

0,0 for the msinfo value

FINAL STEP

Run b2b_game.bat

That vitua striker isn't the naomi version, is it? that would be really cool if you could get those roms to work by just patching them with a selfboot program.

Sultan, I must say that your sig pic is way to flocking big.

2. May contain images, however the maximum image size is 500x150.

I see light grey, but maybe that's IE's fault.

Try saving it as a gif :S

Try saving it as a gif :S

As JPGs don't support transparency AKA the alpha channel or whatever it is.
