Samurai Edge Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 That's an emulator that can play real X-Box dics if you have a DVD drive and it's not safe to play as it will damage your monitor, as the speed is too fast, and the monitor will spolit if the monitor cannot stand the fast speed of X-Box. This is told to me, by my school mate, and to me, it's rubbish, but I want to make sure, before I argure with him and tell him that's rubbish. And the speed I'm talking about is the Hz of X-Box, and the Hz of the monitor.
iq_132 Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 1. There are no good X-Box emus. There is Xeon (Plays Halo, buggily + slowly), and caustic's xbox emu (whose name eludes me atm...) which only plays turok, afaik).2. Certain frequencies can damage your monitor, but generally they do not.3. You can't read x-box disks in a dvd-rom drive (right?)4. Yes, your schoolmate is a dumbass and full of crap.
Inky Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 3. You can't read x-box disks in a dvd-rom drive (right?)right. unless you have a samsung 604(?) with a firmware update.
Gryph Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 and caustic's xbox emu (whose name eludes me atm...) which only plays turok, afaik).CxBx is the name.

Heh, I still remember way back when this dude showed up and claimed that he made an X-BOX emu that runs Halo full speed. He even had screenshots to "back" him up.
