alexis Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 well i used partition magic so that i could install win 98 from xp, i created a fat32 primary partition and i set it active, then using bootmagic i sarted that partition and insalled the OS and everything is ok. I just wonder, i use bootmagic to choose which os to boot from, and it sets that partition active and hids the other one, in consequence when i am using iwn98 i can`t acces the partition conaining xp and vice versa so i wanted to know if there was some way to fix that and if there is a problem by going on iwth one active and one hidden. I also notice that the active one is C: and the hidden one doesn`t have any letter. What owuld happen if i assign a letter to the hidden one since it doesn`t have a name. I also read that win 98 has problems with more than one active partition that causes data loss.
