Wizard
http://www.alcohol-software.com/ We thank you for your support over the past few years and hope this news doesn't come as too much of a disappointment. taratata
Too bad Even without the copy protection bypassing, it would still be great software. There will always be software (legal or not) to bypass copy protection. It is really foolish to think a law would change that, but it would be better if it was legal.Anyway, they could move outside of the US and of the EU... That leaves a lot of other places to go to

Alpha
I am going to hault this thread for a second... Spazmogen, nebiun and kingloui all used our newssubmit to tell us that the sales of Alcohol Software apparently has stopped. On the old domain and website of the software company a message has appeared that due legislation in the United States and Europe the development of the software had to be stopped. But this is not true. Alcohol Software will continue the development of the software that is very popular amongst people who want to backup protected games and continue the sales on another domain and website. So What has happened? The story is as follows; before, Alcohol-Software (the developers) had teamed up with Fubra (an internet consultancy company) in the United Kingdom. Fubra did the development of the website of Alcohol Software and the promotion of the software, in exchange it got probably a percentage of the sales or some other compensation. The company still owns the old domain of Alcohol Software and is now scamming Alcohol customers by telling them that sales had to be stopped without telling them that it continues on a different domain/website. In a thread on our forum Phoenix, one of the employees of Alcohol-Soft, has stated that the relationship with Fubra has been cancelled and that the software company continues it sales and development on their own. Phoenix explains; "Alcohol software has not posted this message on the old sales site, unfortunately the company who were hosting our sales "Fubra" have done this in some form of vendetta against us for not renewing their contract, however you can rest assured the sales site will be up and online at http://www.alcohol-soft.com within a short space of time". On this new domain you can still download the trial version of the software and purchase it if you like it. Alcohol Software has also made clear that it will continue the development of its software. We hope that Fubra has the decency to inform Alcohol 52% and Alcohol 120% customers that the development on the software has not been stopped and that it will forward them to the new Alcohol Software site. In this forum thread you can find how you can encourage them by e-mail. More information on copyright laws in Europe can be found at http://www.euro-copyrights.org.
