But gameplay wise, I've never really gotten the whole "point" of FPS, especially the id ones. I mean, what? I run around in a room, shoot this, get that key, get out. "You're a marine dropped into some alien base and you're to kill everything in sight." is hardly what I call a storyline. id's games are typically just showcases for their 3d engines. I think I am going to upgrade my processor (or if I can find a nice cheap mobo+processor) and get some new RAM to get myself ready for Doom III and Half Life 2.
