Gryph
There was no beta, it was just a repackaged alpha. And that was also unoptimized code so going with that doesn't really count. And your PC should be plenty powerful enough to play it properly. According to [H]ardOCP, a 1.5 ghz with GeForce4MX was completely playable. Don't fret, emsley, you're fine. Wizard
Yeah, thats the repacked alpha with some new stuff made by people. I heard from a guy at my local Futureshop (whom me and friend argued with for a while on hardware and linux vs windows debate) said that D3 could run on a PC with 800Mhz, 256 RAM, 600MB free, and a GeForce 3. Gryph
What a moron. No game takes 600 mb these days. Doom III needs atleast 3 gbs. Even though the Geforce3 is more powerful than a Geforce4MX, it doesn't have those critical changes. 800 mhz!!! What?! If a computer doesn't run Unreal 2 well, it won't run Doom III at all. Wizard
There was a source for the 800Mhz parts. It's in one of those id's.plan files.
Gryph
Well...I take that back. Since its on XBOX so it'll have to be 733 mhz. Oh well.
