dvd drive/dvd recorder compatible with nero5.5?

a long ago, i posted up a topic about my sis getting a new comp..

well she got the dvd/dvd burning combo..

 

is it possible to use nero5/5.5? on her system?..

 

i tried but it didn't work..the INcd didn't detect the drive?
