3rd Strike is the most prefered Street Fighter 3 (and maybe most prefered SF altogether :) ), but I've never been a fan of turbo in fighting games. I find Dead or Alive too fast, 3rd Strike too fast and certainly SF Alpha 3 on default turbo 2 i waaaaaaay too fast (a shame aswell as that is the way it is played on kaillera).

So that's why I prefer 2nd Impact, just my opinion that speed sucks. I have great reasons why turbo is worse, but can't be bothered to explain. sorry :(

And about the Virtua Fighter 3 instead of VF4,

well reason number 1 - VF4 is faster - obviously,

2. The boring flat backgrounds instead of the great hills, stairs, slopes etc etc

3. Taka-Arashi rules

4. Great music tunes similar to VF 1 and 2 instead of non-discript guitars

5. I just prefered the subtle differences in the physics, feeling of hitting them and others

Obviously I still love VF 4, but I will always prefer VF3. - hope that answered your questions.

Yea I miss VF 3's backgrounds. Not that I have a problem with VF 4's though.

Yeah, the varying height of the stages was an interesting element. I was hoping they would touch it up for 4 instead of donig away with it altogether. And I never played Taka much, but he was neat. It would be difficult to give him character like the others have, but they should try to put him back in for a collection or something. Music in VF4 = bland. Don't remember it from 3 though (think my arcade had it low).
