darkmage479 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Mega Man X3 - duh. Even if it's just a rehash of Mega Man X, it's a wonderful, beautifully realized rehash. Also as a combo platform/shooter - Gunstar Heroes.

The first thing that came to mind when I read the topic was Gunstar Heroes, although I guess it's only sort of a platformer. Super Mario World and Sonic 3 would be next.
