I did tweak my firewall settings a little (triggered some ports as opposed to forwarding), but it wasn't moving THAT fast when I left. Thanks!

Then, you have to figure out how to open ports on your firewall. Then you have to open the ports that bittorent is using. All that stuff is different depending on what you're running. Luckily, there's a 99% chance it's on the internet somewhere, google away.
