Corn99 Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 i already know that they planning a zip drive for a dreamcast but i thought it was never released and some guy is trying to collect it,so was it released.
Wizard Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 It wasn't released to my knowledge. I know they were planning for one, along with a DVD plugin and MP3 player.
Corn99 Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 i thought it was strange, try in to collect something that doesnt exist(or maybe a protype does)so how was the zip drive suppose connect to the dreamcast serial port?it was a nice color too.
Shibathedog Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 there are about 5 prototypes of each of those devices known to exist Anyone who finds one and gives it to me, gets to have me as their slave
Corn99 Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 well shiba,if u were to own one what would u do with it cuase they are prototypes so they probably have some flaws or nothing commercial works with them.
Shibathedog Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 yeah, but just having them would rule. I collect everything DC. I also want one of those cancelled N64 Disc Drives that where going to come out.
Corn99 Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 so u are willing to pay for something that may not work or maybe could be the best thing for that console.
Wizard Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 It wouldn't work because well. Who would want it other then just a collector's Item? Hands up? I would try to use it. But coming on the short end. What would we do with it? Theres no software to even make it work.
Corn99 Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 so they created prototypes with no software what so ever?
Wizard Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Their isn't any know software to use it. So if you get it, it's just a dust collector/item.
Corn99 Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 i just wished they would have release the upgrades for the dreamcast dvd,mp3 vmu or something like that and to save on line stuff the zip drive i think it would have helped this doomed console.
