Disregarding taratata's witty post for now... If you are using NeoRAGEx, you need the EGCG NeoRAGEx. You can find it on my primary site. If you get the same error in Kawaks, Nebula, etc. You need to switch to Console Mode (however, the read screen should say something about copyrights, not about the Bank Error). I could be wrong though. Edited January 17, 2005 by Agozer
Blade Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Hey, I'm new here, so I just have a quick question, I DL-ed the romsets, fixed the patches (which I got from my Samsho5) and such, but for some reason, the 272-dp1.rom isn't working. The rom's in the zip file...it's just not being read properly. Unless when I downloaded it got corrupted....which I hope isn't the case because that whole thing took an hour.
Gryph Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 What emulator are you using? What's the size and CRC of the your P rom?
Agozer Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Yeah, what emulator are you using? You could try renaming the P1 to 272-p1.rom
Blade Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 (edited) I'm using the Kawaks 1.46 Hack, the filename is 272d-p1.rom is about 8192 KB in size, so it should be the real deal... as for renaming it, still didn't work. Edit: Now 272-c1.rom isn't working either...man...do I need to DL it again...? Edited February 7, 2005 by Blade
Agozer Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 What do you mean by Kawaks Hack? The Dev, the Loader or something completely different. It is very likely that Kawaks does not like your romset and you must get a new one.
Gryph Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Check out your ASR.DAT file to make sure the file name and CRCs match. I use Kawaks loader and the game works fine for me. If you can't get it to work then as a last resort PM me.
Blade Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Thanks for the help...it wasn't the first romset that needed re-naming it was like 272d-v3d in the ASR.dat file that was messing up the game. I think part of the problem is the ASR lists on different emulator forums is inconsistent. Thanks again.
Agozer Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 The ASR.DAT is uaually very different when people compare their own, since they all might have had the same romset at some point in the past, patches and naming conventions always make a difference in the end.
Z-Neo Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 With the latest version of Mame that I use, the CRC of the m1d changed: samsh5sp: 272-m1d.bin 524288 bytes INCORRECT CHECKSUM: EXPECTED: CRC(dba2077e) SHA1(81a0361e2cfd00f65f54fe94117fec6371f79858) FOUND: CRC(3ca75c37) is there possibly a patch to change it, or do i need a totally new m1d rom?
L.S.D Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Is it me or is the fatality sound (the one with the drum going"dum, dum, dum") is really annoying? And thanks, Gryph
