putting two hard drives together

hey um i got 2 hard drives consisting of around 40 gb's..is there a way to put them together?..

 

right now..if i go to "MY COMPUTER" there are 2 hard drive disk icons..is there a way to put them together.??

You need a tool like PartitionMagic if you wish to merge existing partitions.

hm..i just decided to use the 2nd hard drive the way it is..i formatted the 2nd hd.. and i could move stuff there to free up some memory in my 1st hard drive..

Another way to make 2 hdds into one is to RAID them in JBOD which Just a Bunch of Drives. But now you don't need to do it so it's all cool.

i stilll need to learn more about raid and other specific parts of te computer. but yea..

i guess using them as 2 differen't drives will work for now..thanks gryph.
