i l l m a t i c
Well for those havent heard about this lil program, I recommend all p2p, BT, etcc..users to use this!!! I've already blocked 2 FBI and 12 RIAA connections.. BTW there was been fake versions of PeerGuardian in several places including download.com..so always check out http://methlabs.org/ for official updates... PeerGuardian is a tiny firewall program especially designed for P2P software users, but also to anyone who is concerned about the investigations that corporations and authorities perform on the internet. PeerGurdian blocks connections for the configured IP ranges and logs the blocked connections. It uses an online IP database for the blocking, but IP ranges can also be configured manually. Pre-cofigured for blocking are RIAA, MPAA and many others. Edited September 22, 2004 by Xx1LLMAT1CxX

Gryph
http://www.bluetack.co.uk/ Actually, Protowall USED to be better when PeerGuardian was a resource hog.
Ryuken
so how about now? which 1's better?
Gryph
I still use Protowall since they use the same IP block list. Haven't used Peer Guardian for a while but everyone says its much better than it used to be.
Diso
I wouldn't think the FBI and RIA would care that much if you prolly download once every year or so. This is probably needed if you're downloaded 100 of gigs on the internet (And ur stupid if u do this cause that means ur ISP will check up on ya )
Gryph
Since most of everything I download is done through torrents, I just use Azureus and the Safe Peer plug in. That seems to get the job done as well.
Diso
Yep. DC++ for music I mean the FBI wouldn't kill you if they looked at ur share really. If you think about it, If you're sharing 5 gigs of stuff and Someone is sharing 1000 Gigs of music, movies, bootlegs. He'll go for the 1000 gigger unless he wants to make easy money lol Oh well, we're not supposed to be talking about warez since it makes GC look bad in front of other emulation forums
